I love this. It would be wonderful to own a statue like this.

Many thanks. Yes, I agree, if I only had the money to have it made! Oh well, I am used to living in dreamland! :handshake:

PS: A 'statue' usually represents a person. A sculpture can be anything. Michelangelo did statues. I prefer sculptures - more freedom of expression. I hope you don't mind my opinion.

Oh, I don't mind your opinion at all. I'm sure you're right about the greater freedom of expression in a sculpture as opposed to a statue.

This is very good John! For me it's bronze with these nice textures and reflections. The bg gives a perfect contrast too.
Just a constructive thought: perhaps you could have cropped the bottom of the image a bit, so the sculpture's support would look more natural and not suspended in the air. :)

Many thanks. I agree with you over the cropping. The plinth does look a bit overpowering and the little spindly support looks silly. I didn't think it really looked like bronze (see my next sculptural image 'sculpture in the park' coming soon) so calling it 'resin' was all I could think of.

Have a nice day! (here's another hug)
although I really mean a handshake :handshake:
